My name is Lisa and the stories you read here were written by my Great-Grandmother, Logene Parsons Kess, about the happenings on their farm from 1937-1938. The stories are truly living to me as the children and animals talked about in the stories were real. They were my grandmother, uncle, cousins, and the animals on their farm in Upper Michigan. As I have read theses stories to my own children, I realized what a gem these little stories were and wanted to share them with children all over the world.
I am a homeschooling mother of 4 young children and have been using these stories in our home learning. I am including our lesson plans for using these stories in our home, in hopes that they will help you in your home, too!! I have also added scripture tie-ins as many of the stories have such a wonderful message that can be tied to our walk with the Lord and our knowledge of Him.
